Growing up on Nantucket, whether it be year round and during the summer, all of my blACKbook interns have experienced unique and yet similar childhood ACKventures…  And while their parents were the first to venture on the island, the girls have thoroughly stated that they are so grateful that they got to grow up coming here… and now… as a thank you bACK to the community, our summer interns Brooke, Marina and MaryElle have created a special KIDS HOT LISTSo even though they aren’t kids anymore, our interns are still ‘kids at heart” and have you covered with what to do for SUNNY, RAINY and EVERY-DAYS for your wee ones on ACK.

THE TWO THINGS EVERY NANTUCKET PARENT & CHILD LOVES

KIDS & PARENTS LOVE GOOD ICE CREAM

In our blACKbook, the ice cream counter at Island Kitchen is the perfect spot to bring your kiddos for a summer treat! No need to worry about parking or seating, as Island Kitchen is conventienly located mid-island, away from summer traffic and their cones are a crowd pleaser for children and families alike. While you are over there, head next door into our HAPPY PLACE to take a family picture in front of the Meredith Hanson happy place wall to cherish your memories with the people you love most!

KIDS & PARENTS LOVE THE NANNYTUCKET BABYSITTING SERVICE!

Every parent loves to spend time with their children but everyone needs a break once and a while and NANNYTUCKET has got you covered for all your babysitting needs. Our friend Heather North McGraw and her husband founded the service in 2007. Heather, a former live-in nanny, teacher and an international volunteer, is also a mother of two awesome boys  (as seen above!)   And we’ve got the FIVE things to note about her family run babysitting agency…1. NannyTucket has over 2000 registered, responsible, loving and playful childcare providers who can’t wait to have fun with your little ones! 3. NannyTucket has expanded to Boston, New York, The Hamptons, Palm Beach and MORE so they have you covered coast to coast for all your childcare needs, even when you’re off island! 4. NannyTucket runs a full background check on every caregiver as well as clearing reference checks and conducting an in-person interview and training session before placing them with your family! 5. And finally, this amazing agency has a new app out soon, so it will make booking a babysitter from the beach as easy as just one click away! Click here to book on NannyTucket now!
