LADIES NIGHT is bACK at NAUTILUS!
Get ready for the annual bartender collabs at Nautilus with their month long guest startender bACK in ACKtion! Every Monday night, enjoy one of your favorite HOT spots with a twist! Each week there’s a different bartender mixing up those magical Nautilus elixirs to make the start of the week a little more bearable! On September 11th, it will be Kelsi Dulin of Pearl. On the 18th Kerry Fee of Millies & Oran Mor will take the Nauti by storm! It’s a brewery Monday Funday with Jess Hanan of Cisco on September 25th and finishing off the month will be Lilly Underwood of The Box! Take note! The Yoga Room is opening their doors to the local community and beyond for FREE YOGA all weekend long on Saturday 9.9 and Sunday 9.10. Preview new class offerings including a level 1 and 2 Power class- plus enjoy your favorite staples like Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative. White Heron Theatre has another amazing romantic play coming our way! Playing Thursday – Sunday at 7:30pm all month long, Constellations by Nick Payne is a love story between a beekeeper and a theoretical physicist. It is a boy meets girl love story based in a series of different universes where everything that can happen, does happen, so boy meets girl over and over again! Fast paced and clocking in at an hour and 15 minutes, this is sure to leave all audiences entertained! We saw it last night and it was a smash hit! Perfect show to see with your partner, your best friends and your family!

Head on down to the Tom Nevers Faregrounds on Saturday 9.15 and Sunday 9.16 to partake in an island event that truly celebrates how special and unique this local community is. The Nantucket Island Fair is a chance to chat with neighbors, check out some local vendors, and partake in some good ol’ fashion community fun! With everything from the Home Brewed Beer Competition to Livestock Shows, there’s something for everyone! Feeling bummed because the carrots you grew this year aren’t the prettiest bunch? Fret not, you have two chances at victory! The Best Carrot Cake Contest and the Ugliest Veggie Contest are calling your name – There will be games, contests and activities galore so mark your calendars and head out to Tom Nevers from 10am to 4pm to witness the festivities.

BOX Favorite RIPE Is bACK
Ripe is bACK at the BOX on September 15th + 16th for what is shaping up to be THE HOT weekend of September. RIPE is the Boston-based jam band brought together by Berklee College of Music. They were so good in July that pACKy just had to bring them bACK out for September! These guys have been touring all year…and with all that high energy, the RIPE guys create an unforgettable live experience. Get ready to dance to their mostly original tunes plus a few fun covers added in for good measure!
TWN is ready with their 4th play of the season! And this one is sure to be a crowd pleasing hit! They say… “It’s 2am and the party has just begun. George and Martha invite young and impressionable Nick and Honey over for a night cap, and what ensues is a night of dark comedy and drama. Albee’s classic play, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, starring 4 time Emmy Winner Kim Zimmer and 2 time nominee Robert Newman from the epic daytime drama Guiding Light along with Grant Tambellini and Olivia Howell deliver a night at the theatre you will not soon forget!”
The second annual Dragonfly event is set to inspire change around mental illness. All proceeds of this beautiful event will be donated to NAMI CC&I on Nantucket, an organization that serves individuals and their families who are affected by the broad spectrum of mental illnesses and neurological disorders. Held on Thursday, September 21st from 5:30-8pm, at The Nantucket Hotel & Resort this is an evening filled with the opportunity to learn more about mental health awareness and ways in which we can help those who are struggling. Guests will enjoy libations and hors d’oeuvres, music by Jeff Ross, and a chance to bid on an incredible silent auction. Tickets are $150, and tickets or donations can be purchased below!
Get ready to dine, Nantucket! This fall, enjoy the annual Nantucket Restaurant Week which kicks off on Sunday September 25th and runs through October 1st! With over 30 restaurants participating and some incredible dining deals like three course lunches for $25 and dinners for $45, you can be sure this is a week to get out there and explore that delicious culinary scene on ACK! Proving that size really does matter, The Nantucket Shorts Festival celebrates short form movies of 2 to 10 minutes in length starring or inspired by Nantucket. The festival was founded in 2013 by five local Nantucket artists, and the unique format of the event allows both experienced and amateur filmmakers to present their art on the big screen at the Dreamland Theater in an entertaining evening unlike any other! Everyone knows Nantucket is famous for cranberries – from 888 Cran to the chocolate covered delights at Sweet Inspirations, these little red fruits are a hot commodity on island, and once a year the community gathers to celebrate their existence! The 14th Annual Cranberry Festival will take place on Saturday 10.7, and attendees are able to enjoy a fall day on Nantucket surrounded by music, activities, local food, and the cranberry harvest itself! Note: Don’t forget to take home some cranberries for the holidays – cranberry chutney is a MUST on Thanksgiving… and the day after on your own turkey terrific.
Join Cisco Brewers, OCEARCH, and Courageous Sailing on Saturday 10.7 for a day full of sharks, sailing, and craft brews! Cisco will be serving up their signature brews from an inflatable bar at the end of Pier 4, with the Aldous Collins Band serving up some funky tunes underneath the Peak Events tent. Proceeds of this event support OCEARCH’s biological studies and Courageous Sailing’s education programs targeting at-risk youth, and the OCEARCH team will be on hand to give tours of their research vessel and chat all things SHARK! Come join the fun from 3-8pm, and get your Cisco fix on the mainland!
It is the last call, the last dance, and the mecca of all season finales – The Formal 2.0 is the second annual end of the year party, giving everyone a chance to blow off some steam after a long season, and give back to the community that we love so dearly. This 90s themed event is not to be missed… Get out your tracksuits, velvet mini dresses, and LA Lites because Wednesday 10.11 the talented bartenders from Boston’s favorite taco joint, Loco Taqueria, will be slinging drinks at the OPEN BAR from 7-10pm and DJ Ryan Brown will be on the turntables, throwing it back 90s style for this EPIC HOUSE PARTY! Tickets are $100 and all proceeds benefit the Nantucket island Safe Harbor for Animals (NiSHA).
