With August literally right around the corner, visitors from across the water have the island busting at the seams! With town at its craziest, a weekend of mid-island dining is a must-do. From brunch to the bars to the burgers and brews… we have your fresh blACKbook mid-island dining guide right here!
Friday Afternoon… Grey Lady
When the work week is finally over and you’re ready to kick-off the weekend, head over to Grey Lady for Buck a Shuck from 4pm to 6pm! Catch up with friends on their comfy couch as you snack on fresh local oysters over a bottle of Donelan Chardonnay and see why this Chins Way patio is a perfect place to start your Nantucket fun.
Friday Evening… The SeaGrille
After your raw bar, take a quick jaunt across the road to one of the island’s best seafood establishments, The SeaGrille. Start with a watermelon salad, finish with a strawberry rhubarb cobbler, and add some tuna in between for one incredible meal on ACK. PS: make sure to try their “Paper Plane” cocktail… it’s one of the best drinks we have had on island in a long time…
Friday Late Night… The Chicken Box
Once you’re stuffed with seafood it’s time to work it off on the dance floor. The Chicken Box, our Nantucket nighttime staple, is full of fun and great music all summer long. Stop in to hear amazing ACKts like Collie Buddz and Donovan Frankenreiter next week. And Click Here to see who’s rocking the stage this weekend.
Saturday Morning… Wicked Island Bakery
After a wicked awesome night out, it only makes sense to start your morning the same way. Head over to Wicked Island Bakery for a grab-n-go breakfast essential. Just remember, nothing goes better with Copper Moon Coffee than one of their infamous Morning Buns! (Just don’t be mad at us when that morning bun becomes a craving and then a morning routine!)
Saturday Afternoon … Kitty’s Murtagh’s
With the 2016 Olympics on the horizon, there’s no where better to catch up on the sport scene than Kitty Murtagh’s. Savor a leisurely Saturday afternoon in some serious A/C with classic Irish Nachos and a cold Guiness as you ponder what it could be like to do a high dive or a triple back flip… a perfect family friendly spot as well for those looking to take the kids for a meal out, too!
Saturday Evening… ATLAS
When you’re out on the town, your Saturday night fever can only be cured with a DJ night at ATLAS. Start out with some delicious bar bites (we’re obsessed with their wings!) and follow it up with one of their incredible house made desserts … don’t forget to add a flight of sipping libations before you bust a move and get on your island groove on their dance floor. BONUS: This Saturday night they have DJ Lord Fascinator in from Sydney, Australia! No cover and the music starts around 10PM!
Sunday Morning… Island Kitchen
In need of a little Bloody Mary and mimosa to start your day of rest? For the ultimate Sunday brunch head right on back to Chins Way and Island Kitchen. From classic eggs bene to fluffy specialty pancakes, Island Kitchen is our choice for that Sunday brunch spot. Sunday Farewell Lunch … LoLa Burger
Of course it wouldn’t be a mid-island dining weekend without mentioning our favorite burger joint, LoLa Burger. Head to the rotary for some picnic table dining and nosh on burgers and truffle fries to end your weekend-eat-a-thon on a sky-high note. Whatever you do, don’t forget to add one of their handspun milkshakes. After all, it’s Sunday Funday right?!
