5. THE BLUSH BASH

The Blush Bash, Nantucket’s first and only outdoor event dedicated entirely to The Pink Drink, will be held at Bartlett’s Farm, Sunday, June 25, to benefit The Brant Point Shellfish Hatchery. What started as a private label rosé project dreamed up on the beach last summer by year-round Island residents, friends and business owners Tanya McDonough + Elle Jarvis, The Blush Bash was intended to be their official launch party. While the girls did realize they were entirely too busy to travel through France and open two new ACK restaurants in the spring, they decided to throw the Pink Drink themed event anyway as a charity event. Given all the discussion of our local shellfish industry, eel grass, and fertilizer run off, it was a perfect pairing to partner with Nantucket Natural Resources Department. Local band Foggy Roots will kick off the day, followed by the Boston-based band Bearstronaut with our own Pete Ahern of Audio Architects spinning a good old fashioned dance party at Cisco Brewers to round out the day. There will be more than 40 different rosés to sample, as well as snacks for sale such as oysters from 167 Raw, Cheese Picnic Boxes from NOSH Nantucket, and Pick Your Own Strawberries from Bartlett’s Farm! Tickets are $100 and you can get them below! PHOTO: Emily Mentes
