We all know that November may start out as one of the quietest months of the year… but boy, are there still a lot of amazing things going on around the rock as we gear up for the holiday season! Here, in typical blACKbook fashion, we have the nine things to note for November. (Which kinda includes October and kinda includes December!)

1. LOLA bACK OPEN FOR LUNCH

Monday ~ Saturday beginning at 11:30AM
lola-lunch
One of our favorite parts about Nantucket in the fall is when LoLa 41 opens bACK up for lunch. This year-round hotspot serves up fresh specials including their ever-innovative Bento Box from the sushi bar, as well as a housemade soup and sandwich that changes daily! BONUS: While Sunday is the only day they don’t serve lunch, you can instead toast with dinner at LoLa as Sushi Sundays are bACK on … buy one roll and get one free!

2. HALLOWEEN AT THE BOX

Saturday October 29th
green-line-inbound
Oh yes… there is no dress up party on Nantucket like that of the annual Chicken Box Halloween Bash! As is tradition, there will be prizes for most original, scariest and sexiest… and you can be sure the place will be rockin’ with the always high energy GREEN LINE INBOUND on stage again! Cover is $10 and the show starts around 10PM.

3. FIGHT NIGHT DINNER with CISCO BREWERS

Wednesday Nights
fight-night
Get ready for some feisty food and drink fun with FIGHT NIGHT at b-ACKyard BBQ in conjunction with Cisco Brewers, Triple 8 Distillery and Nantucket Vineyard. Customers get four courses, each paired with two beverages. The “fighters” vary from week to week, but the match-ups are Beer vs Wine, Wine vs Spirits, and Spirits vs Beer! Diners get a scorecard where they can pick their favorite pairing each round. At the end of the night an overall winner is crowned! Just $40 per person and they run every Wednesday night from October 26th through December 28th.

run-for-robin-flyer-2016
An amazing fundraiser for a wonderful Nantucket cause…. Support the Harvey Foundation in two beautiful ways during one amazing weekend. For the $150 ticket in, guests will enjoy the raw bar, libations, a delicious Italian dinner and the opportunity to see special guest speaker and Boston Marathoner Dick Hoyt as he shares his “Yes you can” message with our island! And on Sunday, join the Harvey family for the second annual Run for Robin 5K. This walk/run kicks off at 10AM at the VFW, with a cookout to follow for all the involved.
