Our friends at ATLAS offer great food and killer cocktails in a setting that is both approachable and fun! This restaurant is owned and operated by husband and wife team Brandt + Gabrielle Gould  just love sourcing their ingrediants on island and working with as many local producers as possible! From creative drinks using tea from Ambrosia, delicious seafood with Ruthie B, Fresh Eggs from Ray Owen, Savory Oysters by 167 RAW, we’ve got the eclectic eight reasons why you should check out ATLAS below!

1. That ATLAS food!

Smoked meats, local seafood, and sumptuous vegetarian… this is what you will find behind the doors at 130 Pleasant Street. Chef/Owner Brandt Gould (who built and conceived Cambridge Street) believes in fresh, simple and bold clean flavors with his menu. And this week, Brandt is launching his brand new summer menu which highlights their whole grilled Ruthie B Fish catch of the day, swordfish Nicoise, Churrasco skirt steak, and a vegetarian ramen!  They also have a new bar menu which features their infamous ribs and insanely good buffalo wings, the ATLAS burger, fried oysters and perfect little nibbles for sharing plates at the bar.

2. That ATLAS Bartender

When it comes to a bartender that is equally passionate about the cocktails and the service, their bartender David Pepe exudes just that! After tending bar for four years in Boston, David pACKed up and relocated to the little Grey Lady and has been impressing Atlas bar patrons ever since! This friendly mixologist, who hails from the Sunshine State, is enjoying his time on island and savoring the little things in this Nantucket life… from catching a good wave and some surf at Surfside, to reinventing the classic cocktails using local ingrediants to hanging out at Cisco Brewers and meeting the locals… David feels right at home here on ACK and you’ll feel just as comfortable sitting at his bar!

3. Those ATLAS Collab Dinners

And speaking of Cisco Brewers… ATLAS is hosting Master Distiller Randy Hudson in their beautiful space for an evening of 888 Spirits paired with a fantastic locally sourced summer menu on Saturday June 18th. This evening promises to be both spirited and scrumptious with an incredible opportunity to get the inside scoop on why those 888 Vodkas taste so fresh and the new cocktails you’ll be loving made with serious Cisco love by their bartender David!  BONUS: they will be adding more dinners like this in the fall, collabing with Mad River Distillery, Allegash, Bar Hill Gin and beyond.

4. those ATLAS cocktails

ATLAS takes good cocktails seriously… hell, they even make their own tonic, ginger beer and bitters! While bartender David admits he’s “a sucker for the classic” when it comes to cocktails, he also does an extraordinary job creating cool flavor profiles with small batch spirits! From “The Sunset” with Ambrosia’s Hibiscus tea and smokey tequila that makes an artful margarita to the “Peach Tea Smash” which is crafted with infused rye whiskey, peach tea and fresh lemon, to David’s latest favorite, a twist on a negroni as seen seen below.
